About Us |
Our PhilosophyAt TCF! we take an active role in money management and make investment decisions based upon professional expertise. We typically hold a limited number of positions in our core portfolio. Careful analysis of investment selection and market entry and exit points help guide us toward overall market performance. We choose investment vehicles based upon market segments, interest rate considerations, broad movements of the U.S. and international markets, and overall market conditions. Our philosophy is that while the long term markets reflect the fundamentals of companies and the general economy, in the short and medium term, security prices are a reflection more of market psychology, and are more influenced by market power brokers than they are by company or economic fundamentals. From this viewpoint, we consider a number of different factors in order to determine market direction. While we weigh geopolitical and economic factors that influence the market, the most important factor to look at is what the market does in order to get the clues as to how the psychology and power forces intend to drive the market as we look forward. We employ a combination of technical indicators to determine market direction and risk, and with this information, trade accordingly. We have developed separate models for stocks, bonds, and metals, and our core portfolio is invested in either direction as our outlook dictates. On a weekly basis, we meet as a team at TCF! to discuss market factors and to determine our overall bias. From this bias, we use specific inter-day and intra-day indicators and models to trade within the framework of our analysis. This unique blend of expertise and experience, in our opinion, gives our firm a singular advantage in guiding investments for our clients.
